Chapter 12

One Month Later

Angel

“That was so good.” I said, staring at the large movie screen. Straight Outta Compton had just ended, it was date night and Parker had taken me to see it. I’d found a theater that played older movies and Straight Outta Compton was one. Neither of us had seen the movie so he was cool with that as a date.

“Yeah, it was i’ight.” Parker helped me out of my seat. His arms went around my waist, holding me from behind.

I glanced over at him to see a slight mug. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous over O’Shea?” I laughed at Parker.

“Fuck I’mma be jealous over that nigga for? You don’t know his ass.” I could hear it in his voice, he didn’t like the way I had gushed over O’Shea Jackson Jr.

“As long as you know that. But if I did…” I trailed off and bit into my bottom lip, teasing him.

Parker pushed me and then let me go. “Fuck you. Go find that nigga and tell him to take yo black ass home.”

I grabbed his arm, laughing. “No,” I wrapped my arms around his waist. “You know I was only playing with you. O’Shea who?” My face twisted as I feign confusion. “He ain’t touching you.”

He looked down at me and I kissed his chin. “Yo ass stupid, man.” He said as his arms finally came around me.

I stood on my tippy toes and kissed him.

He lifted me off my feet, making me laugh,

“Let’s go before we dip off into one of these bathrooms,” he palmed my ass, kissing me again.

Laughing, I pulled back. “Stop, nasty.” I pushed his hand off of my booty and he put me down.

“Come on,” he pulled me into his side and led us out of the theater.

Parker was most definitely winning me over. For the couple of days that I’d been staying at his house in Bloomingdales, I honestly couldn’t think of any other place I wanted to be besides with him. It had gotten so bad that I found myself not wanting to go to work at the club anymore.

Vince had called nonstop and not once did I answer the phone. Parker said he was cool with it if that’s what I wanted to do, but it was only dancing. Even though he said that, I could tell he didn’t like the idea of me going back to the club. However, I couldn’t become fully dependent on him when I didn’t know how our relationship was going to end. Hell, if things between us would end at all, which I really didn’t want.

Even though I thought that, now that we were together, I didn’t want to dance. Especially when he knew half the men in the club. A part of me felt like it was disrespectful in a sense. I didn’t know, but what I did know was I enjoyed dating him. I actually liked being his girl. I was loving it, honestly and I didn’t want to ruin what we were building because I was still stripping.
